Samyang's heavy hitting wide field lens, this lens took astronomy by storm many years ago and continues to impress to this day. Stopped down to F/3.2 for better star shapes. Although you will still have some coma to deal with, obviously.

This one is combined with a Player One Poseidon Colour camera and some snazzy new generation filters, it's a fast system to gather a lot of remote data quickly

In most cases the maximum sub length we will do on this pier is 300s, for most of the brighter objects shorter subs will be better however

Filter Specifications

OSC - Normal colour imaging with the addition of a simple Luminance filter, so scope remains par focal for focusing as well as enhanced IR blocking

Antlia RGB - Enhances contract in colour images & increase narrowband regions within objects, not to mention help block out some light pollution from the moon

Askar C Colour Magic Ha/O3 - The filter enables the capture of the two main emission nebulae bands at the same time, all whilst suppressing unwanted light pollution

Askar C Colour Magic S2/O3 - The filter enables you to capture extra blue signal whilst gathering S2 for Hubble palette images

Baader SWAN Comet Filter - The Baader C2 SWAN-Band-Filter with ≤ 15 nm Half-Band-Width isolates the two C2 lines at 511 and 514nm. Making it ideal for a Comet's tails whilst eliminating O3 from the signal.
