Pier-16B

Telescope

Borg are the dark horse of Astronomy in our opinion, they deliver good value very fast well corrected scopes that perform almost as well as couture brands for half the price, they have none of the cool down focusing issues that many have either

Combined with a Player One Poseidon Colour camera and some snazzy new generation filters, it's a fast system to gather a lot of remote data quickly

In most cases the maximum sub length we will do on this pier is 300s, for most of the brighter objects shorter subs will be better however

  • Filter Characteristic’s

OSC - Normal colour imaging with the addition of a simple Luminance filter, so scope remains par focal for focusing as well as enhanced IR blocking

Antlia RGB -
Enhances contract in colour images & increase narrowband regions within objects, not to mention help block out some light pollution from the moon

Antlia Alp-T Ha/O3 5nm - The filter enables the capture of the two main emission nebulae bands at the same time, whilst suppressing unwanted light pollution

Antlia Alp-T Ha/Hb 5nm - The filter enables you to capture extra blue signal in the form of HB whilst gathering HA, whilst suppressing unwanted light pollution
