Hi all

As per my email re the current issue with Pier-1

I did said to continue put your job requests into pier 1. This is no longer needed as Phil has done some wizardry behind the scenes to enable temporary group membership options, for now all Pier 1 members are members of the temporary pier-9 syndicate so please input jobs directly into the Pier-9 portal.

Please let me know if you cannot access the Pier-9 portal or have any other issues with access :)

Kind regards

Steve

Hi Steve,

yes I can enter Pier 9 portal for adding new syndicate jobs, Thx!

But one important question: Technical data shows large differences now between Pier 9 New Submission and general equipment list?!

For example, is the focal length 2740mm or 1678mm?

Is the FOV 0.49° x 0.33° or 0.66° x 0.45°?

Quite important to know for adding new jobs?!

Seems as if Pier 1 data was just copied to Pier 9 New Submission info.

Hi Martin

I think Phil for the sake of prudent speed has just swapped pier-1 portal over to 9 to get you all up and running again without delay, for the actual real details please use these below

sorry for the confusion :(

Kind regards

Steve

Thx Steve for the fast clearification!

First jobs added :-)

Found jobs 2223 and 2224 to be identical (from pebster2005), so maybe one can get removed?!

Looking forward for Piere 9 experience...

Asking on behalf of a friend.

Is there an approximate timescale for when pier 1 will be back, and what will happen to incomplete jobs at that time?

At present there is not much imaging time each clear night, getting longer though. Maybe some forum discussions might help in order to ensure that as many jobs are as possible are completed.

Not my pier, just a suggestion.

Hi Martin, I see you using the portal fine, which is good news :)

I noticed 3 mosaics in the pier queue this evening, one was a 2 panel so that's no problem.

The other two are 3 panel so I suppose other members need to sign off on it as it requires more pier resources, if you can let me know by DM please so I can ask Pete to input it those two job requests

https://www.roboscopes.com/index.php/forum/multi-pane-mosaics-using-syndicate-piers

I hope that helps

Steve

No sure yet Ray's illusive friend but I suspect about 3/4 months as the new mount is being manufactured and the 10um is going back to Italy for its summer vacation :)

If a job unless its totally outlandish has been started on pier 9, even once pier 1 is back up and running members will still receive the data on pier-9 once completed as that's only fair, within the realms of fair play of course

If members put 12 months worth of job requests into 3 months then that's a whole new ball park lol

Pier 1 members,

Not sure if everyone in the Syndicate is aware but the horizon limit is 5° higher on pier 9 than pier 1, that is to say 35°,

Good morning

I will get Phil to look into it, it may just be a glitch due to swapping things around

May I ask the job reference please so I can share that with Phil also?

That jobs not completed I must have tapped a wrong button in our admin area when actioning your removal request yesterday is all

It was never entered into the pier queue to begin with so its a 1000% not started, let alone done :)

OK I didn´t doublecheck the job number. Just saw the dataset announcement and couldn´t find access to it.

So looking forward to the first datasets to be finished.
