That's right up there with any of the great video time lapses I've watched over te years that have been created by well known astrophotographers here in the northern hemisphere. Very pleasant soundtrack in harmony with the video. An amazing number of  those Perseid shooting stars you were able to capture. Hope you don't mind me asking, but what camera system, stills or dedicated video camera?

I agree a well deserved award for sure.

That's a fantastic obs you've got Vikas btw. :)

Regards,

Ray

Thanks!, i was using a couple of Sony A7s3s to shoot the video part , a CentralDS full spectrum modified Nikon D850 for the deep sky images of Orion and Rho and H-alpha modded Sony A7iii for the timelapses. Lenses varied from the Milvus 135mm to various other fast Zeiss Milvus F1.4 lenses in varying focal lengths from 14mm to 50mm...conditions were a bit hazy and seeing not that good due to monsoon activity and i feel the sequences were not as crisp as i am used to them being - u can check out more of my timelapse work here - Timelapses

Hi Vikas,

Wow! I'm extremely impressed and thank you for the information. Several years ago I did a bit of 'dabbling' with timelapse using the then current A7s but not modified, it was rewarding but the results were pretty abysmal. Great collection of cameras and lenses you own, expensive, but fully justified when you can produce results like yours and also make the effort and endure harsh conditions to get the shot.

As I mentioned it was several years ago that I took an interest in timelapses and searched on the Internet for as many videos as I could, but not in the last 3 to 4 years. I'm sure that I would have come across at least one of yours had you been releasing them at the time. One name I remember is Adrien Mauduit who put out regular videos.

Really pleased for the link you gave to your site, I've many a pleasant time ahead watching them accompanied with a nice drink. Two APODs, that explains the images you've posted here on the forum. :)

Best regards,

Ray

A fascinating and beautiful video clip Vikas. So much work to collect all hat data and then assemble it into an engaging story. Fabulous!
