Sorry everyone about all the uploads today, I am just trying to get out of my outbox some of the recent images that I have been working on. This is the north American nebula - as we all know -  and I used 120 subs at 2 minutes long each... Pier 5 uses a Takahashi Epsilon 180 F/2,8 astrograph, on a Skywatcher EQ 8 mount with a ZWO ASI071 Pro Colour CMOS camera. The integration time is 4 hours. Thanks everyone...

Simon,

Again will make little sense if not read in the sequence you posted these Simon.

The North American nebula? Where exactly, pray?I think your imagination is something else Simon, I'd be worried if I were you. :)

Nice image of a turtle though with its head just protruding from its shell and its right foot and left foot partly showing. Remember Its right foot will be on the left.

Cheers,

Ray

[size=100]Ray, good to hear from you! I appreciate your imaginative mind, and you are right, half of these things look nothing like they are supposed to! I have a friend who gets really irritated by the weird names they come up with, and has even got a category on his webpage for weirdly named objects, where he expresses his annoyance! I cannot see all that you see in these, but you definitely have a point including the Rho-Ophiuchus region - there are odd shapes in there for sure. If I see an image of my Mother that will concern me - surely then I need help. Indeed if you see an image of my Mum in there that would be even more concerning, as you have never met her!   :   )

As always, thanks for you support and I am so impressed with your recent images. Sorry I post so much... and at annoying times. I do other things other than image, I just fit a lot into one day, and probably do not process things as well as I might sometimes because I tend to rush at stuff. No wonder I live in a state of exhaustion    :  )

All the best.

Simon

Hi Simon,

I'm sure you realise this, but I just want to be 100% sure you are. These comments about your posting a lot are all tongue in cheek. :)

When I was subscribed to a couple of monthly astronomy magazines, the section I went to first was the image gallery. After a while many of the most popular objects would reappear, but occasionally you'd get to see something new and exciting and visible in the northern hemisphere. I see a lot more of such things here on the forum and that's nice. Keep going.

Hope all's well with you,

Best wishes,  Ray

Yes I knew it was a lot of tongue and cheek, but it is in all good fun and makes for great reading. I appreciate it that you are interested in what I do, and that this forum proves to be far better than others you have seen.
