Roboscopes up until now have offered offered multi-user syndicates and hourly rental piers. In these areas we have a tremendous amount of experience in using and getting the best out of a remote telescope for our existing customer base. However, we always felt that hosting was something we would like to branch out to…..

So we have but with a difference to everyone else :)

Most companies will allow you to host your equipment at their site, some may even have a shared roof, this is a fantastic way to get the most out of your equipment from a dark sky location. If you have the technical knowledge experience and time to set the system up. Or you may even enjoy the challenge, then this standard hosting model may work well for you.

What do you do if you don’t have any of the above:

1. The Time
2. The expertise
3. The experience to successfully use your equipment remotely because it is a steep learning curve with many pitfalls
4. The inclination and all you really want to do is tell the telescope where to point and then get on with the processing as that’s really what you love to do
5. You may not even be very hands on which such a a big mechanical & technical installation
6. It may be to far for you to travel

Then Roboscopes “managed” hosting may be just the thing for you

You supply:

* The mount (must be a suitable mount for remote use)*
* The Pier adapter
* The telescope
* The camera and all other associated items like focuser etc
* Usb & power cables or we can at your request (a small charge to cover the costs may be needed)

Roboscopes supply:

* The pier
* The IP control plus power control and UPS
* The PC & all cables
* The installation (one off charge)
* The observatory with roof and weather control
* An online portal where you add what items you wish to image
* A back office admin area for downloading your data plus requests like new flats Darks Bias etc
* A remote IP camera

Roboscopes - hosting but on a whole different level…..

Prices start from €400 pm over a 12 month contract period. Please email PM one of us for more details :)

* Some examples of suitable mounts are 10-Micron, Paramount MYT MX etc, Planewave etc, basically mounts with either true homing or have absolute encoders fitted

Hi everyone

We are finalising the last few steps on our website over the coming fortnight for the new hosting job portal and I am sure Phil will inform everyone when its ready, in the meantime we are now ready to start hosting as all other services and equipment are now in place

We have a maintenance visits in October & November this year and this would save any potential customer money in transport and logistics as we can take the equipment with us to install on your behalf, You could if you are so inclined come with us to instal it as we are very happy to work with you building a relationship moving forward in order to get the best experience for all concerned. Not to mention you get to have some input in the installation as well as see how it will all work :)

If you need any information or clarification on any points then please do not hesitate to contact us.
