Hi fellows,
being in quarantine I just spent quite some time on PixInsight to integrate all this LRGB and HAlpha data from Pier 1 (job 961).
Maybe not my very final version, but definitly final for today ;-)
CS, Martin
P:S.: what images are you working on to catch up during rainy season?
Very nicely processed Martin, congratulations. As you know, more data will be collected for this target on Pier 1.

Manuel
PS: Will be integrating the Pier 1 M51 data with my backyard data (OSC; 79x300s) in the near future, and experiment to improve my processing skills and bring out more of the "plume" and increase the nebulae regions.
Hi Martin and Manuel,
Great to see you sharing your images here, both of which are excellent. I'm sure you'll make some improvements as you discover new and better ways of doing things. After completing a few more you'll have learned a work flow to follow which will make similar targets far easier and faster to complete.
There are many great tips online dealing with things you may want to try and improve, so these early images will be useful to try them out. Manuel has pointed out that there is Ha data still to be captured or M51, an opportunity to master combining narrowband with broadband data.
To reply to your question Martin, I have data from many of the other piers past and present that I'm able to work on, so I've not looked at much of what we've recently received from pier 1, as yet.
There does appears to have been a lot of datasets to download from around the time when you joined, so is it the case that because there is so much for you to choose from, you would like a recommendation or two before embarking on the next project? If so, let us know from around what date you have data from, so people know exactly what you have available to choose from. For example, on January 10th Phil downloaded jobs 1244, 1281, 1189 and 1246. The next was on January 12th with job 1282. All that info is available in the pier 1 forum section, so you only need to mention the date you started downloading data from. Also mention any you have completed besides M51.
Hoping that is understandable to you.
Cheers and CS,
Ray
