OK - this is my very first mosaic. Not sure I have done it right, but it looks OK.

2-panes. The final mosaic had to be cropped closer to the nebulae than I wanted as I must have got the coordinates slightly wrong and the two panes were about 20% translated from each other.

First, the image as it came from the mosaic process with just a stretch and SCNR on the inverted image to get rid of purple haloes.

Second, I used starnet to remove the stars, LHE to enhance structure, Curves Transformation to adjust the colours a bit (not too much it went all muddy), and then recombined the stars with PixelMath

Both scaled down to one quarter size.

For a first attempt, I am pretty pleased with that. Which one do you prefer? Worthy of the gallery?

The lower image for me, it has more colour range and is less green bias :)

Decent first mosaic!

Richard,

Even without any additional data from the weaker channels, I don't see why you shouldn't hang it in the gallery. That mosaic would be a great addition and really show the 'scope' (sorry) of this setup.
