A two pane mosaic will run from Sh2-129 through Barnard 150 to the Fireworks Galaxy

Flying Bat to Fireworks.png

I have started with pane 1 (Sh 2-129 and OU4) in Ha and OIII. long exposure time as they are faint. To get Barnard 150 and the Fireworks Galaxy in pane 2, we will need LRGB on both panes. We can look at that after we see how we are getting on with the narrowband.

Hi Richard,

A good choice indeed. I had in the past considered tackling part of that area with a different pier to try and capture The Squid outline (Ou 4) that appears inside The Flying Bat. That particular object is extremely faint, and given the cost and risk that I'd still need more exposure time for that one item, I didn't bother. Maybe we'll see enough to encourage us to take more o3 exposures.

Roll on clear skies.

Thanks again,

Ray
