Hello Vikas,
I recently started using the "Internet Download Manager" because I sometimes had problems downloading files via Chrome. The program offers everything I need. You can pause downloads and continue later from where you left off. (The PC can also be switched off in between). You can also create a schedule or queue. The program also offers you to perform certain functions at the end of a download. For example "Shut down computer".

It works well in Internet Download Manager. I haven't had any success with Chrome yet. About 2 months ago I had the problem that the internet connection was interrupted for about 3 minutes during a download. Chrome then canceled the download and I was shown a "Retry" button. When I clicked on it, the download started from the beginning.
Don't all the details to the back end server being used for downloads but most compression/zipping software can break up the zipped files into small batches. I am lucky to have a really good 1GB fiber connection at home so any file size is OK, but for people will low bandwidth connections smaller files are easier to restart if the download gets stopped.
Another great way to keep the download smaller is make smaller individual session request. 20 hours of imaging is a HUGE download with ASI2600 and ASI6200. And some ISPs might send you a nasty email if you are downloading 20 hours of ASI461 data.

Hi Phil
my downloads thru the Nexus don't resume once paused. I am using a Mac if that may be the reason.
I tried using an app called download shuttle but that requires an username and password and entering my username and password of Roboscopes does not still allow the download.
DakoAstrophotography mentions Internet download Manager but that did not work for me either
i guess i will have to time my downloads in a manner that allows ample time for the download to complete. I do have a !gb connection so that helps

When I try with my own gogole chrome on Windows 11 I can turn off my wifi and interupt the download, and when I reconnect it resumes as normal.
I will look into chrome not resuming when it says "retry" as I know this was happening to Pete too.
I may just build a windows program (sorry mac users) that will allow users to download / pause / resume

Hi guys,
few months ago Chrome starts to freezing during huge downloads, so I switched to firefox. I am sure its a local issue with my chrome but didnt investigate this deeply.
Since I am loving to automate the boring stuff, it would be great to have just an API which I can call to check if there is new data and if so just download and then process further.
