As I previously mentioned on this trip we have a couple of things to do to P14...

1 - Move pier to new observatory centre position to improve the horizons and stop potential blockages from the new 16" scope being fitted
2 - Alter adapter to improver star corner shape
3 - Re-line camera upto vertical position

We were hoping to fit new Antilia LRGB & 3nm SHO but as we are still waiting for them to come in from Antilia this will have to wait a while now I am afraid :(

I would say this will be started on the Wednesday/Thursday looking at the schedule so please expect the pier to be down for at least 2/3 nights while we rebalance, polar align and add a new pointing model

Once done Shall I turn all the jobs back on for you ?

PS I am hoping we can get as much done as possible in the imaging queue at present before commencing the work and I will make job 1016 the priority :)

Hi Steve,

That's absolutely fine by me and we've more than enough data to be getting on with. Once you start work on P14 then we can submit all new jobs and any unfinished ones can be removed.

That 16 inch scope sounds interesting, looking forward to finding out more in due course.

Safe cruise,

Ray

Yes the 16" I hope will be an up close and personal monster :)

I have a penchant for planetary nebs, unusual small things and globs. So honestly, this scope was 100% to suit me a and what I like imaging and if other people like it then that's also fine and dandy :)

I will let you know as soon as 14 goes back live dont worry
