Is anyone interested in the Witch Head Nebula (IC1909)? It is a good fit to the frame, with more of the nebula visible than you normally see in a single panel.

It's a broadband target, made more complicated by being faint, fairly low down and with Rigel blasting away just out of frame on the left. There is a fair amount of associated Ha nebulosity, so it would need HaLRGB.

Should we go for it, or leave 'til next year and concentrate on getting good images for the existing list of targets?

Richard,

Given the bad weather maybe at a later date, to be submitted during the early part of autumn perhaps. If anyone else wants it now please speak now........

Cheers,

I agree. I know we were asked to put in plenty of targets (and I contributed another couple last night), but my view is let’s get some easier targets in first to build confidence and experience.
