Simeis 147 from Pier 14 FSQ106 and the ASI2600. Imaged in Ha O3 and RGB.
A stunning target and a real challenge for any imager.

Thanks for looking

Peter,

That's fantastic. I read your comment about the prism problem particularly on images like this, but I certainly wasn't expecting anything as good as what I've just seen. What problem?

I have asked Phil to reload those dark flats you kindly made available, as there was an archive header error on the unzip. I've only ever encountered that once before and then it was fixed by Phil reloading the zipped file.

Thanks for sharing.

Kind regards,

Ray

Thank you Ray, Its a wonderful object, perfect for this FOV on Pier 14 . I still think it's worth getting more data on it's while its around.

A stunning image Peter. Inspiring. So clear that it is a supernova remnant. The filaments show up very nicely.

Ray, Thanks for doing that. I thought my computer was playing up again when the header error came up. Glad it was not just me, I was starting tho think there was something seriously wrong!

Thank you....I love this object, so big but very delicate in its appearance.

Peter, Excellent image and one of those that needs plenty of time both capturing and your great processing skills.
Really nice.
