First result from our two panel Heart and Soul Mosaic.
Each frame Background Extracted, Masked Stretch, Channel Combine, Stretch, Touch of Local Histogram Equalisation and some hue adjustments in Curves Transformation.
The Ha data is excellent, partly because I seem to have accidentally got double the number of subs I had planned. No noise reduction yet, so more to come, but I have to go off for a meeting now.

Richard looking good already and I really like the colour palette you've achieved, suits it. I'm hoping that I can get the nebulosity looking as good as that. I definitely need to rein in my tendency to over darken things to disguise the noise. Doing so I then lose the faint areas which you've successfully managed to retain. That mosaic is going to look tremendous. Wondering what job the Heart nebula pane is and whether it has been started yet. Hopefully this run of good weather will last at least as long as that stretch of bad. If so they'll be plenty to keep us busy.
Thanks for sharing this ahead of your 'tidying' it up. Not that it looks like it needs it frankly.

Okay, just saw Phil's post and discovered the heart nebula pane is done and downloaded. What great service that is, I thought we might have had to wait but both done together.
