Morning everyone. I have spent some time today processing the data for this object. Some of the data was a bit variable, but I decided to use all of it, because I would not have had enough data to produce a picture otherwise. I used 41 Has, 42 OIIIs and 50 SIIs, all at 5 minutes long each. The imaging time is thus 11 hours and 5 minutes.


Pier 6 uses a Takahashi FSQ106-ED F/3.6 astrograph, ZWO ASI 6200MM Pro CMOS 1x1 Binned camera and a 10 Micron GM1000 mount.

Hi Simon,

I really prefer the colours you extract from these narrowband images. :) I'm rarely happy with any of the combinations I come up with. Even when there is data from the 3 filters I always end up with more of a duo band image compared with those posted by others. You always manage to have normal looking, nicely coloured stars as well.

Will shortly post my effort as further encouragement not only to you, but anyone else that so far hasn't put up any of their images. They don't need to be masterpieces people, else I'd have posted nothing. I only post my best, so that also says a lot. :)
