Good morning Simon,
I'm onto this before you post any more.
Definitely a challenge you set yourself on this one. I love the composition and the brilliance of the star colours surrounding it. How you toned down that star is excellent work. From the image I wouldn't have suspected that it was a problem, I've seen other images where it clearly is, and it shows. I'm wondering if at some point you'll decide to collect a bit more data and find a way to boost the "ghost" and retain the balance you've achieved.
Why would I suggest that? To be honest and I know you would probably be the first to admit, the 'ghost' is a tad bit too ghostly!
How on earth can a ghost be too ghostly?
Please bear in mind this is what I with my dodgy eyesight sees. A seal or porpoise heading towards the star at the top part of the ghost, and maybe a hammerhead shark that inadvertently rammed a submarine and suffered a broken nose at the bottom. All in jest Simon as I'm sure you realise.
I applaud the great effort you made which definitely succeeded.
Best regards,
Ray
