You can fit SH2-223 (emission neb), SH2-224 (SNR) and SH2-225 (emission neb) into one frame:

SH2223-SH2225.jpg

SH2-223 and SH2-225 are all Ha. SH2-224 has strong O3 as well.

I think a combination of narrowband with some RGB for star colours might be good.

Sh2-225 is also small and relatively disappointing whereas SH2-224 has quite big O3 wings. I might drop SH2-225 out of the frame to centralise the other two. We can add a second pane later if we wish that will reach as far as SH2-227.

All in all an interesting areas of sky, but mostly Ha emission.

Hi Richard,

I think this may be similar to job 1382. If so that will save you from having to do so.

Cheers,

Hi Richard,

Just noticed your submission for the California nebula which I'm very pleased to see. I've been for a while now trying to capture a small portion of that nebula using pier 10. Unfortunately the dewing up problem, particularly on this scope, has been causing havoc and ruined the majority of the subs, hence I've had to resubmit most of it. What I did manage to salvage from the data confirms your thinking on the oxygen data. It's there and can make a good contribution to the final image, we just need to grab a heck of a lot more subs.

Cheers,

Yes, that's close enough. Let's see what we get.

The O3 in the California Nebula is to one side of the main nebula - spreading out towards Menkib (Xi Persei). I hope we can show that.
