Time for some responses please. Only 3 members have so far made any, so please if you can over the weekend make a list. A prior post contains some suggestions and the approach we need to take to keep the pier occupied.

Provided that the imminent storm due here soon does not delay their trip to the observatory, very soon we'll need to start putting in some submissions.

Cheers,

One suggestion that can be added to the list is the dark nebula LDN 1082 (the Seahorse). It can be imaged for >2.5-3hrs/night starting roughly March 27th.

Thanks Manuel.

I should have pointed out that I'll maintain a list of all the suggestions put forward here. I'll later post these as a single list to give members an opportunity to comment.

Cheers,

These are some simulations of a few popular targets. Do not rely too much on their accuracy please. The Veil image had to be rotated, so you'll need to imagine the contents of the fov indicated by the rectangular frame where only the background canvas appears.

The majority of these fit well within the new smaller fov, but you might prefer a mosaic alternative so please respond accordingly.

The Cone and Christmas Tree region, Elephant Trunk region and possibly the Veil region, might warrant a small mosaic.

I believe that Mr Asbury is extremely keen on n image incorporating the Elephant Trunk and Flying Bat {including squidy]. That by my reckoning would require 6 panels. Am I correct in that Steve?

None of these will be submitted without receiving some feedback

Cheers,

Ray

Oh dear.

My bad, just realised that I forgot that I had rotated some of my images, definitely the Cone and Christmas Tree, so I need to recheck them all and repost images later. Apologies.

Revised Cone and Christmas Tree region in corrected orientation, to replace image in previous post.
