Good day All,

Hi I'm Jeff, I'm very much interested in deep sky astro but haven't have the courage to try it due to the high cost of equipment to get started. I'm excited that I can eventually try it here with cost of the way. Though I'm a total nood when it comes to deep sky astro, I literally just learned about subs, bias, darks 5 min ago. Right now I don't how to match a target for particular pier/equipment, does anyone have a suggestion on a DSO to target that's suitable on Pier 6 to get me up to speed.?

Regards,
Jeff

Jeff,

Welcome aboard. I would suggest NGC 4216. It is a lovely set of data and some nice galaxies are in there. I found it quite easy to process, so all the best. Simon

Welcome and sorry about my slow response, between setting up scopes, keeping a business running while dodging Covid-19 I have had my hands full for sure ?

How can I help ?

Steve

Please ignore my dylexia wherever possible, just be thankful I can control my Tourettes ;)

Things to do, so little time!
