Simon,
So great to hear from you and in many ways a huge relief, what with all that is going on these days. Thank you as always for replying and the encouragement which really helps.
As someone who has posted far more images than anyone else here on the forum, you most definitely deserve a break, even if just to let some of us start to catch up. Not that it's a competition, or am I just saying that to give myself more time to make up some of the leeway.
I occasionally go back through the images posted here for inspiration as to what I might select as a new target. There was talk at one time of a gallery section in the forum, which unfortunately has not yet materialised. Would have been great being able to view all of yours from a single source, particularly those who are visiting for the first time. This I'm sure would inspire anyone who's serious to have a go themselves, since these are all examples of what can be achieved and not pages from a magazine displaying images from all over the world using anything from camera lenses upwards. Besides not everyone is on Facebook, and anyone can get to look at this forum. I joined FB years ago and left not long after. Took me longer to go through the process of leaving than the time I spent on there.
As you are probably aware I could go on almost forever, but I'll spare you this time. Sincerely hope that health wise there will be a big improvement soon and you and your family will be able to look forward to some great time together over the coming weeks. Using this fairly popular phrase back from my younger days on one occasion to a group of people from across the pond, I soon realised by the looks on their faces that I needed to explain what it meant. So Simon, keep your pecker up!
Best wishes,
Ray
