Hi Steve,

Thanks for your timely note on coordinating our observing as a team,  I have a couple of queries:

1) Where best should we do this?  In this forum.

I only ask, because I haven't seen much discussion of targets in this forum since I joined.  I did propose some targets, before I booked. But there was no reply from the rest of the synodicate, so I just went ahead.

2) If we want to change our mind due to duplication, or subsequent advice from fellow syndicate members, how do we change the booking.  Again I ask, because I did ask for  my job number 1237 to be withdrawn (IC 348) on the basis it overlapped with Vikas' jobs 1217-1220., but it was completed anyway.  That's OK, I reduced and posted the image to Astrobin, although I would probably have asked for it to be re-taken due to high-cloud.

On inspection of the Pier Queue, there also appears to be. bit of repetition on M45.  Over 120 x 300subs were put on the top site as the start of the month, (job 1222).  This was incorrectly labelled the Vulture nebula, but jobs 1169 a(also from Vikas) nd 1147 as still in the queue. [I think 1169 is still in the queue - although it is given the designation 00169].

Follow subscribers:cCan we resolve this? Do we really need more than 10hours on M45?  It looks pretty good to me already.  It would also allow us to unblock the queue a little for some tasty targets coming up ( Perseus Molcula Cloud mosaic and some of the dark nebula proposed by my fellow subscribers come to mind!)

Clear skies everyone!

Hi Brian

I am off work with the dreaded lurgy at present so not 100% with it :)

Hi Steve,

No problems, it was more of a guide/suggestion really

1) Where best should we do this?  In this forum.
The forum is the best place, I am speaking to phil about another section in each pier for "object suggestion"

I only ask, because I haven't seen much discussion of targets in this
forum since I joined.  I did propose some targets, before I booked. But
there was no reply from the rest of the synodicate, so I just went
ahead.
Thats fine, its not obligotory anyway, just advisable in "Our" opinion. I think Mike is a lone cowboy and Vikas to the most part is happy to process what ever anyone else puts in. Memebers correct me if I am wrong :)

At this present moment in time removals need to be done by us, so please just open a ticket and myself of Phil will get it dealt with, its simpler for us if we input or remove as to many cooks spoil.....

As by accident M45 has been done (Vulture) I see little point iin repetition either ?
Please let me know and I will remove if needed

See response above :) :)

Clear skies everyone!

Just let us know what you need, we are here to help promise :)

ps how were my little crib sheets? I tried to keep them light and informal. I never know the best way to write these sorts of things but I felt it was needed to lessen confusion as well as my memories of your fist day lost in the wilderness with our menu system :)

Kind regards

Hi Steve,

Thanks for that.  Your note and crib sheet were very helpful.  I think a specific object suggestion section on each Pier Forum would be a great idea.  It would certainly help subscribers to find what their colleagues were thinking of proposing.

Hello Brian,

job 1147 can be removed. It was meant as a test to keep the stars as small as possible while revealing the faint detail of the reflection nebula.
M45 has been done by Vikas and it's beautifull. More data is thus not needed anymore for M45.

Best regards,
Mike
