Hi all,

I'm Dave and I live on the outskirts of Derby. I've been a visual observer for a long time but I'm taking my first steps into astrophotography. I bought an Atik Infinity a couple of years back to try some EAA and it is is great and certainly helps as standing at the eyepiece for too long was giving me a bad back! Last year I bought a Nikon D750 and for numerous reasons (mainly work and weather) I haven't had chance to use it much yet. I've just bought a Skywatcher Star Adventurer mount and I hope the grab and go potential of that will kick start my astroimaging adventure. I thought I'd try some wide field imaging first to get used to using the camera and mount and then try using the camera through a William Optics Zenithstar 61.

Hi Dave thats awesome, I still love widefield myself, it's so rewarding :)

Milkyway timelaspe is also fun if you have not tried it, Derby is a lot darker than where I live and your only a stones throw from the Peaks

Welcome to Roboscopes

Steve

Please ignore my dylexia wherever possible, just be thankful I can control my Tourettes ;)

Things to do, so little time!

Thanks Steve, unfortunately I am one of the few people who don't drive so I'm stuck to my back garden for now.

Hi David, welcome to Roboscopes!

I am an avid fan of the star adventurer myself, I think they are excellent. Such a mighty tool in a small package.

Anyway, if you need anything please feel free to ask
