Long story is it? Well I'm sitting comfortably so you can begin. :)

Have submitted the Veil complex so that at least will have something to do. I assume that Richard will resubmit the 4 panel Sadr region mosaic when he is able to do so.

Mike has in his list 2 nearby objects, sh2-155, Cave nebula and Sh 2-157, Lobster Claw. It would be possible to image these in one frame, just. An alternative is a 2 panel mosaic with a largish overlap.

For example :
23h 05m 00s +61d 17m 30s
23h 20m 00s +61d 17m 30s

This assumes the camera is close to vertical. That option will give a bit more breathing space to the right hand side of the Cave nebula compared to a single frame, as well as including on the left the Bubble nebula in its entirety plus a bit more. The generous overlap would allow a tight crop of the Lobster Claw nebula from both panels, thus doubling the integration time if such a tight crop was acceptable. Over to you Mike on that. I'd suggest 240s subs, with 30 ha and 60 each of O3 and S2, that's 10 hours per panel in total.

Other objects just starting to rise, but may be best left for now, include the Heart and Soul nebula mosaic.

Hope you don't mind these suggestions guys. By the way I noticed the Elephant Trunk nebula in Mike's list, so rather than capturing more data perhaps the jobs 026, 995 and 1035 be made available to him.

Cheers,

Ray

Good to see you back!

I will wait on some of Ray's test jobs so that I can get the camera orientation from platesolving. After my experience with the Heart and Soul mosaic, I have learned what a difference a couple of degrees can make.
