Hi,
tough question - it´s like a double-edged sword to me:
Receiving data fast sounds nice and is allways welcome. And checking lightframes images myself is a "must" anyhow.
But: if there´s no more quality check it´s also more likely that we´ll have another data request and thus another set of data. This leads to a mix of data and download packages I'll have to manually take care about and merge data on my harddisc and consider for stacking etc. While not being a very neat person myself I guess that this could easily lead to a little data mess.
So for me: I wouldn´t mind to change to the suggested new process, but I wouldn't mind to stick with the old process either ;-)
If it helps to speed up your internal work-processes: go for it!

Morning
Yes, there is no right or wrong really but it does help keep all our processes the same which in turn means less mistakes. Piers-1, 2, 3 & 14 are all run this way and it seems to work well so it's illogical to have one pier working differently.
Not to mention Pete has enough on his plate keeping up with submission entry and everything else I suppose :)
Ps don't forget to start getting some Spring and early Summer objects in if you have not already seen my general post this morning
