Hello all,

I would like to propose the supernova remnant W63. My suggestion would be 15 hours Ha, 15 hours Oiii and 8 hours Sii. The values are based on a picture I found on Astrobin.

The picture was taken with a F4 telescope. Therefore I think that we will also need so much exposure time. What is your opinion?

Greetings and CS
Darius

hello

as it is a two pane mosaic , you can half the integration time . Dont forget that during summer time , night is quite short .  40hours imaging is a nearly a 10days project

Thanks for the hint. I have overlooked that it is a mosaic. I agree with you that half the exposure time is enough.

Would seem logical, yet the gain on the AB image was at 200. What is the setting on Pier14? Does this affect the overall integration time?

If you are Pier1 subscribers, then you may remember that we got some extra data earlier this year. Among that, was a Pier13 data set on W63. The set contained 21x900s Ha, 45x900s O3 and 32x900s S2. I worked on the data and had to do quite a bit of processing to get the blue part to show.

Did you also work on this and have a view about this?

Cheers

I also had problems with the Oiii part of Pier 13. This is my final version: https://astrob.in/0p0yz9/0/

I suggest we first try 5 hours of Ha and Sii and 10 hours of Oiii. If the data is not enough, we can submit a new job to collect more.

Further to my previous response, here is how much could enhance the Oiii channel in the Pier 13 data.

Thank you for the praise. You did a good job on the Pier 13 data. I think I need to edit my data again. The oiii portion can be made quite visible.
