Credit goes to my friend in the UK for the processing. All I did was download the data and offer suggestions on how to color balance. Thanks, Dave! IC434-HaLRGB_R-12x900s_G-9x900s_B-12x900s_Ha-20x600s.jpg IC434_Ha-20x600s.jpg
Very nice there Brian, I must admit I love mono when it comes to data, it looks stunning. Keep it up!

Hello Brian,  I agree with Phil regarding the mono image. This nebula in particular I prefer in mono, particularly when imaged in hydrogen alpha, and a very dramatic one. That's not to say that a well processed colour one cannot be equally as good, but there aren't many of those I've seen. In this instance I'd simply concentrate on getting the best mono image you can and when you've got more experience from tackling less challenging things have another go.  Best regards,  Ray

My friend made some significant improvements, including taming Alnitak. Here is the link to his AstroBin page. (It's starting to rack up the views, likes, and comments!) https://www.astrobin.com/br3na0/?nc=user Brian

Hi Brian,  Thanks to the link I was able to see it immediately. Great image and it's nice that people are liking it. There is a lot of useful information about it as well, always a useful thing to accompany the picture.  Cheers and keep safe., Ray
