Hi Richard,
That's a great looking mosaic. Rich, dark, silky and smooth to borrow a phrase from a certain chocolate manufacturer. You've done a great job on the stars, in particular Antares. I expect you're now pleased with your decision to join the pier 5 syndicate. This would look good in the gallery where it seems no-one else is using these days. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Cheers,
Ray

Hi Richard,
I think sometimes we're our own worst enemy by comparing our efforts to others that are more skilful. In time we will all get more proficient. I tried processing that particular target with data from pier 14 shortly after we received it, and swiftly gave up. I recently had another try. Got a lot better result overall, but not happy with the colour balance. Going to be a third visit one day.
I rarely ever posted anything in the gallery, particularly after looking at many of the great images that were already there. I then noticed that nothing, well hardly anything, got posted there for a long while. So in an attempt to encourage others, that may have been sharing my view and not posting their own, I thought that I'd lower the bar by filling it with far less spectacular images. Before I dig a hole that I'll end up with have difficulty climbing out of, I'm not implying that about your image Richard.
Maybe you'll post a few more of the ones you've already shared in the forum, would make them a lot easier to find in the future.
Cheers,
Ray
