vikas

Hi,

please ignore this post. I mistakenly downloaded flats from October 2022 thinking it was October 2023. The October 2022 flats were from a crop sensor and hence the co-relation to the current full frame darks was not being realized....DUH!!!!

Hi Vikas,

Congratulations on your winning entry in the Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition in the People and Space category. I came across it when I received the Sky at Night magazine'2024 Calendar, where it is featured as the photo for February. That long exposure has done an excellent job of smoothing the ocean and giving that really dramatic effect.

I think it's fair to say from the images I've seen of yours that you do a fair amount of traveling, resulting in a great number of fantastic images. Looking forward to what you can produce with pier 14.

Cheers

Vikas,

Thanks for the information. Looking it up I see that it is at the Skeleton Coast National Park. I now recall hearing about that amazing place but never made the connection that it was in Namibia.

I'm sure that you will take good care of yourself in Chad, but I really appreciate the offer. :)

When is your fully illustrated travel book coming out, or, should that be books.

Cheers,

Ray
