Hi. I am new to RoboScopes, and I have a few quick questions:

1. Is dithering done on images? If so, how does one activate dithering & set the parameters?

2. I see that some piers are labelled "Syndicate". Are these available for use by non-Syndicate subscribers?

3. How long does it take for completed imaging 'purchases' to be available for download via the Data Set portal? What folder will the images be found?

4. What is the best way to do mosaics with RoboScopes equipment?

Thanks in advance,

Derek

Hi Steve. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions!

My apologies, as I did not phrase my 3rd question very well. I noticed in the "Current Pier Queues" that the image acquisition I had purchased/requested was '100% Complete'. What I am wondering is (a) how long will I need to wait until the data from the completed imaging session is available for me to download via the Data Set Portal, and (b) in which folder will the data be found?

Cheers,

Derek

The pier queue is a simple progress list so you can keep an eye on things, even when they say 100% it does not always mean they are ready for you the user as we have to check the jobs first before we upload them and email you to inform they are ready for download.

Sometimes if we are not happy you may see us resubmit a whole or part job if some of the subs are not up to standard.

Treat it more like a "rough guide" as to what's happening rather than an absolute LOL

HTH

Hi. I am new to RoboScopes, and I have a few quick questions:

    1. Is dithering done on images? If so, how does one activate dithering & set the parameters?

Yes we dither, Its fully automated and you dont have to do it yourself :)

    2. I see that some piers are labelled "Syndicate". Are these available for use by non-Syndicate subscribers?

Afraid not, you have to be part of a syndicate to get data from that particular pier

    3. How long does it take for completed imaging 'purchases' to be available for download via the Data Set portal? What folder will the images be found?

This depends on many factors like weather, target selection and moon avoidance but normally 7-30days on average

    4. What is the best way to do mosaics with RoboScopes equipment?

Simply treat each panel as a job and put the panel number in the reference so we can label the job with your panel number, that way you can monitor progress

    Thanks in advance,

    Derek
