PIER-05 M31

Hi All, I made a submission for M31, but have noticed that there are 2 jobs in the submissions list for M31 (what looks to be a N&S panel) from Mike - jobs ID 1136 and 1137.  1137 has a tick against it for data on the ftp server, but I can't see the data there.  And neither appear in the job list.  Could be that I have missed it. But it does seem a bit of unnecessary duplication to observe it again, unless the observing parameters are wildly different [the field centre for 1137 is a little off-centre, due to it being part of a mosaic]. Can anyone enlighten me? Happy to free up the queue as much as possible to avoid duplication. Brian 
Hi Brian, This is because the file in question was uploaded a long time ago and has since been swept off the server by our Daily cron job that checks for datasets over 28 days old.  As for the need for more data or not, I cannot anwer that as I am just technical - Hopefully Pete, Steve or Mike himself can answer Just a reminder that datasets are only kept on the server for 28 day before they are removed. Hi Brian, as Phil say's the data is only stored for so long on our server Mike is a Rhodium user so puts jobs everywhere lol. he has been a member since the beginning, so you will find many 'older" jobs pop up with his user ID. Its one of the quirks of a 12 month membership system that time travel for past data is not easy so we can only travel back in time for 28days  If you want M31 then do M31, it's not as if it's a big dent in pier resources as it's so bright and would not take long Steve

Hi Steve, The M31 data you took for my job turned out great.  It's been a boyhood ambition of mine to get an image of M31 (attached) - it adorned the cover of my very first book on astronomy my Mum bought for me in 1968!

Hi Steve, The M31 data you took for my job turned out great.  It's been a boyhood ambition of mine to get an image of M31 (attached) - it adorned the cover of my very first book on astronomy my Mum bought for me in 1968!  
Its a team effort Brian so I will pass on the thanks to all. Also, you have gotta love the E180 and its super fast F/2.8 corrected optics, which is where most of the praise goes in my book Nice clean image by the way and I am pleased you are enjoying it the syndicate Steve
