Hi folks

Has anyone else processed this one - would be interested in comparing results to see if I can improve it...

I am sure I saw comment about the flats for Pier 3, I could not use them due to the defects, but the result does not look too bad none the less due to the quality of the light subs.

That is looking really Nice Mark, You have retained some of the star colour too great job.
A thing to know about these ultra fast Newtonian's that use the Wynn type corrector is they are always quite sensitive to flats and in my experience never give a perfect correction as the vignetting or light fall off on these can be quite aggressive. DBE in Pixinsight or Gradient exterminator plugin for Photoshop works quite well to finish off the job with little need to manually correct.

That looks amazing!

I'm really struggling to process any of these images. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I think I need to go back to basics.

Sorry for delayed reply - I didn't use the flats as the data is pretty good anyway, although if I had seen Peter's explanation about defect maps before doing the image, I probably would have used them...

Hi Mark

I managed to use the flats, come the end. Pix wasn't working for me, so I dropped back to DSS, and that worked a treat.
A quick process and it looks okay.
