Hi, Wondering if there is something wrong with pier 1. There doesn't appear to have been much imaging taking place, over the 2 last nights, unless the job list today, August 11th, is not showing correctly. Any thoughts. Cheers Ray Screenshot_20210809-132034.jpg Screenshot_20210811-074157.jpg

Last night it froze on focusing Ray and it crashed the pier. these things do happen from time to time LOL The night before the guiding algorithm had a massive argument with the Helix. I have since given it a stern talking to Steve

Here is my first process of the Deer Lick Group: Deer Lick Group1.jpg It is not great, as there is quite a lot of noise. I think we may need more data. I will ponder submitting another job to extend the integration time. From the evidence here, I think it could be a great image if it is processed well. But even here, you have NGC7337, NGC7335, NGC7340 and NGC7336 below the main galaxy NGC7331. NGC7325 above.

Hi Richard,  Second time posting this reply, don't know what happened to the original. I agree this is an excellent target for this pier, not just a great fit but so much more there to see with a bit more exposure time spent on it to assist in the processing. I'm keen on putting in for some more time and hope a few others will be agreeable too. Thanks for making us aware of the potential.  Cheers,  Ray
