Good day All, Hi I'm Jeff, I'm very much interested in deep sky astro but haven't have the courage to try it due to the high cost of equipment to get started. I'm excited that I can eventually try it here with cost of the way. Though I'm a total nood when it comes to deep sky astro, I literally just learned about subs, bias, darks 5 min ago. Right now I don't how to match a target for particular pier/equipment, does anyone have a suggestion on a DSO to target that's suitable on Pier 6 to get me up to speed.? Regards, Jeff
Jeff, Welcome aboard. I would suggest NGC 4216. It is a lovely set of data and some nice galaxies are in there. I found it quite easy to process, so all the best. Simon
