Every day it is the same thing. Whenever I look at the pier 14 queue longing to see the slightest progress on the targets I'm looking forward to receiving the data for, there is zilch.

Within the job numbers in the 1500 range are those submitted by either Darius or Richard. These were placed many months ago, yet despite many of these objects being readily captured on other syndicate piers, they sit unstarted here month after month.

A rational explanation, rather than some really stupid suggestion by someone that there may be some algorithmic bias, would be most welcome.

Not holding my breath,

Cheers,

Ray (At my age patience is not a luxury I can afford) :)

Hi Steve,

It's as if you'd read my mind! You'll soon recover from that awful experience btw.

Those changes you just posted about and are ready to implement look very promising and over the next few months it will be interesting to see how things settle down.

That hopefully should shut me up until the Winter at least. :)

Best regards,

Ray,

The reason there is no movement on any of the jobs is this:

# 1395 -> This hasn't started because when the pier tries to do it, it would extend into daylight. I assume it's only there during early hours at the moment ?

# 1517 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1518 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1519 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1531 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1532 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1533 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1534 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1649 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1681 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1705 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1709 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1720 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1748 -> Not ready to image yet.

# 1749 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1753 -> This is due to moon avoidance, but should be movement any day now.

# 1765 -> Not ready to image yet.

Dear Phil,

Thanks for taking the time to investigate this and explaining what you found. Everything you have written down is absolutely correct since it's a full moon tomorrow. Yes the first job in the queue, which I excluded, was left over from last year and will eventually be restarted.  Steve will be able to explain things in greater detail. and about changes being made to the priorities which should resolve the situation.

(Between me and you Phil do you feel safe in the office when only Steve's there?)

Not too long after I made that post I got a call from a certain person who shall remain nameless. "I could shoot you", were the first words I heard when I answered the call. They may try and deny it no doubt. :)

Best wishes,

Ray
