Hi,
i have been noticing a lot of incomplete datasets. Is it possible the files are not downloading completely onto my system ?

here is my list...

Job 1151 - only Blue and Green filters
Job 1143 - only blue filter
Job 1119 - only L and Ha filter
Job 1110 only S and O filter

Also job 1129 and 1130 are NCG7000 panel 1 and 3 respectively. Is there a Panel 2 as well which is yet to be uploaded?

Thanks to anyone clearing the air about these jobs ...

best

Hopefully I can help out and Florent and Richard can confirm some of the following.

1151 was in much discussion last week in connection with wormholes. :)
The outcome was that Phil reloaded job 1072 onto the server. You will find the missing files there.

1143, Florent should be able to confirm that these were part of the M11 mosaic capture which he has now posted as an image.

1119 are part of a capture of sh2-126, I believe the missing data is still to be completed, job 1140. Again maybe Florent can confirm that.

1110 goes with the original job 1068, object sh2-171, probably to replace poor data collected from 1068
Vikas I think you'll find that at least one of these may have been jobs prior to you joining the syndicate, hence for example you may not have job 1068 just mentioned above.

Hope this helps in some way.

Regards,

Ray

[size=100]Thankfully Ray is on the ball in regards to whats going on with each set, and thankfully he must have a system where he's tracking whats what :)

I will soon be revamping the entire Syndicate system so that you will have a central portal to do all you need to do

Some features the portal will have:-

Booking Process
1) Single page submission form whereby you choose the pier you wish to submit to in a drop down box.
2) Option to link the submission to a master submission (This will flag the dataset as a part of the master set)

Submission Listings
1) Can be filtered per pier.
2) Can be filtered for *your own* jobs only.
3) Can be filtered for *complete* jobs.
4) Will display child jobs alongside their respective master job.
5) Will have pagination.
6) Master sets that have both complete and incomplete child submissions will display Orange.
7) Complete sets (including all child sets) will display green.
8) Datasets will show the dates they were added to the FTP.
9) Datasets can be sorted by the FTP addition date.
10) Email notifications as to when a dataset is marked as uploaded to the FTP.
11) Can be marked for cancellation/removal (by the owner of the submission)

If you have other recommendations I am happy to review them and see what I can do.

I just joined the syndicate. Thanks for the clarifications.

1151 looks like an interesting object to me. Is it possible to reload 1072 again so that I can process the dataset?

Thanks!

Hi

We only keep data sets available for so long before they get deleted I am afraid. We would run out of storage quite quickly otherwise :)

Actually, as it happens I still had this dataset laying around.

I am currently uploading it to the FTP for you, it will be ready to download at approx 11.30AM GMT

Phil to the rescue once again after already doing this for me and others recently. :)

Steve you really need to hang onto him (hint), as there is a rumour going round that he is taking hgv lessons.

Hi Phil,

While I'm sure you'd welcome working less hours a week, wouldn't you miss his sparkling humour and personality. Might be a good idea not to answer that, at least not until you've passed the test. :)

Cheers,

Ray
