Hi Steve - good to see that the observatory is nearly running after all your efforts! Hi everyone else - I'm Gareth, a long time visual astronomer with a love for viewing deep sky objects of all types - doubles, open clusters, globs and galaxies - from my garden near Yate to the north of Bristol. When not in the garden or watching telly with my wife, Sarah, I'm an Aerospace engineer living the dream (no sarcasm) of developing cutting edge algorithms and software. Similar to many I've dabbled a bit in astro photographies but, with work, not really had the time to invest to make a real stab at it - so looking forward to a new approach where the crap British weather doesn't get in the way!
