Hello Everyone,

I have used by the hour scopes here previously but this is  my first syndicate.

I took up astrophotography a few years after retiring and have a roll of roof observatory in the west of Ireland. We are Bortle 4 but only get around 40 clear nights a year and commonly have humidity over 80%; hence my joining the syndicate.

I'm interested to see how the syndicate works, a new experience.

CS, Earle

Hi Earle,

Welcome. I'm sure most of us are in a similar situation with regards to the limited number of clear nights, and add to that the long period over summer when the sky is too bright to image here in the northern part of Europe. Joining a syndicate is really good value for money, plus I think you will enjoy using this scope.

Rather than maybe start discussing something here on the forum which can become disjointed when others reply in between times, I hope you won't mind if later on I start a conversation with you. It's only about one of your submissions which I think I can assist you with the number of subs.

Cheers and CS,

Ray

Hello Earle,

welcome to pier 3. I just joined a few months ago myself and it has been very rewarding. This pier is really great. I am already looking forward to joint projects.

Regards

Hi, Earle

Apologies for slow Hello, I have been a tad swamped behind the scenes :)

It's currently Spanish rainy season but that will pass and when it does you will have more data than you can process, so you will soon forget 40 clear nights back home!
