Welcome Chris,

Only recently joined this Syndicate myself after having been exclusively subscribed to the piers with mono cameras. The data I've received, which was taken during an excellent spell of good seeing conditions, certainly vindicates that decision. You can under the right conditions with bright targets get good results with just an hour of imaging, although the more the better.

You may have already seen a few recent images posted on the forum to help you in making selections from the large list of data currently available to you.

Cheers,

Ray

Thanks for the warm welcome :)

I'm having a play with some data in the portal, it's so much nicer than from my light polluted home in the UK!

I am really looking forward to the Orion mosaic that's planned - I've wanted to do something like this for a while.

Welcome Chris!

Pier 5 produces some great data, and I find the OSC images easy and fun to work with. I think you will enjoy it.

If we complete it, the Orion Mosaic will be a fantastic project, but big mosaics put a huge strain on processing. It's a lot of data. Hopefully, by doing it in stages, we will get useful images as we gradually build up to the mega-mosaic.
