Hi Steve et al,  The Helping Hand data was great.  Unfortunately I think it needs a bit more, as the 120 x 180sec is a little noisy. (see attached image).  It is such a cool image, and this set-up is ideal to capture it, but I think it probably needs another 6 hours at least - in dark conditions.   Given that I already have had one bite at this cherry, other targets should have priority.  But I would plan to submit another 6hours on the object, unless and of my Pier 5 subscribers can show me that I am not reducing what I have optimally! Brian
Brian less time longer exposures I would say - 300s x 3/4hours should be plenty. Its a dark object and I reckon the longer exposures will reap better rewards However, we are more than happy to go with your 6hrs @ 180s if you prefer If you wish, so it does not impact so much on other data collection just add "moon down" to the notes Steve

Hi Steve,  Thanks for the suggestion, much appreciated. But,  I think I will stick with 180sec as I am trying to miniseries the effects of the bright star right next to the nebula.  It makes the data processing a little slower, but that is don e in Bach anyway. Brian
